About
Artist, builder, and commentator working across music, culture, technology, style, discipline, and self-command.
I am Kweisi John. Some people know me as Kanu. I am interested in the systems that shape who people become: music, culture, technology, style, discipline, taste, and the rules we learn to keep for ourselves.
I built this site for work that needs more room than a feed usually gives it. I like ideas that hold up in real life. A dumbbell either goes up or it does not. A tool works or it does not. Your word to yourself holds or it does not.
The projects, the writing, the music ambitions, the cultural references, the builder side of things: they are all part of the same life. Splitting them too cleanly would make the whole picture less honest.

Music is not background flavor here. It is the original reason I care so much about tone, pacing, taste, and emotional weight.
Anime, film, hip-hop, fashion, and design give me language for ambition, identity, restraint, obsession, and what it means to leave an impression.
I am interested in growth that leaves evidence. Not the performance of discipline, but the private proof that my word to myself still means something.
I want the site to feel like a workshop, not a stage: a place where the work can keep becoming more honest.
The tools, systems, and experiments I am building right now.
Essays, reflections, and philosophy-led pieces from the more personal long-form side of the site.
The current rules behind how I work, build, and keep my word to myself.
Music, tech, style, media, and fitness all in one place.
